Whlist on a mission for Admiral Forrest Dr. Phlox encounters a Klingon ship which is in fact not what it seems and which threatens to cause a big political ruckus and breaks the warp engines but their opponent turns out to be well-meaning and vulnerable to a cunning bluff and so Archer throws his morality out the window and their opponent dies, which means everything turns out okay, give or take a few personal tragedies. Then, finally Archer says something witty and they leave at warp factor one.
