Whlist travelling through the Delphic Expanse Commander Tucker encounters a strange alien which is in fact from the future and which breaks the warp engines but their opponent turns out to be well-meaning and so they do the obvious (eventually) and the guest star dies a heroic death, which means everything turns out okay, and everybody forgets it ever happened. Then, finally T'Pol says something cliche and they leave at warp factor four.
