Whlist visiting a colony Malcom encounters a problem with the Vulcans which is in fact not what it seems and which kidnaps someone but their opponent turns out to be weak and vulnerable to a good talking to and so they do the obvious (eventually) and the guest star dies a heroic death, which means everything turns out okay, and the Enterprise is saved in the nick of time. Then, finally Trip says something cliche and they leave at warp factor one.
