Whlist investigating a time warp the crew of the USS Enterprise apparently dies when the Enterprise encounters an apparent duplicate of Abraham Lincoln which is in fact not what it seems—as well as a gang of superbeings which pisses them about as a test and hijacks the Enterprise, drains the dilithium crystals, and isolates the landing party but their opponent turns out to be vulnerable to a show of emotion and dies, which means everything turns out okay, and everybody forgets it ever happened. Then, finally Kirk says something witty and they leave at warp factor five.
